maybe try Jim Lalley, owner of the Straddie Pub. The pub have several preserved winners of the Straddie Classic hanging above the bars to make the losers drink even more to drown their sorrows.

Ring the pub reception, it is unlikely you'll get Jim even if you ask but tell them what you need & they'll normally bend over backwards. Taxidermists normally will have a stamp on the back of their work, if its mounted.

Dave,
Sorry I haven't replies to your PM yet.
I've had a few done by a fella at Ipswich. He was actually recommended to me by another taxidermist as "one of the best fish skin mount people going".
I've got a great bass mount here. 8) He also does fibreglass molds of your fish as well. He did a fibreglass job on a saratoga that died in my tank a few years ago.

I will find his details here (somewhere in my mess of an office) & PM it to you.

If anyone else wants his details, gimme a holler & I'll pass the info on. Not everly keen on putting phone numbers on the net without permission.

Cheers,

Fitzy..

I got a question, do you actually get to eat the fish, or is it wasted, I dont think i could get a fish stuffed if i am going to miss out on a feed
cheers

No you can't keep the fish generally. Saw one mob want their mackerel back after a mould got poured off it & it stunk to high heaven.
If you are that desperate for a feed to off-set the weekly butcher shop bill, or catch scant enough to allow just one to slip thru without getting filleted, then may I suggest you get a sheep so that you may one day be able to take one fish that doesn't end up as dinner. ::)
