dont let size fool you,this species can be a very timid feeder.My method is to thread 6 or 7000 plankton onto a no4 long shank hook.2kg mono and a no4 ball sinker.let them run a bit before striking firmly.the fight is often long and dogged, be sure to have uggboots tracky dacks and one off those big woolly jumpers with the fury stuff around the hood before chasing this species.Be sure your prey is exhausted before bringing to the gaff,premature gaffing can cause serious thrashing.
