Police are reminding boaties to secure property after $20,000 worth of diving equipment was stolen off a boat at Mission Beach in far north Queensland.
Sergeant Gary Burkin says the equipment was taken off Blue Thunder at Clump Point sometime on Friday night or early Saturday morning.
He says the offenders used a stolen boat to transport the equipment to shore.
"Police and also Tully CIB are investigating the matter," he said.
"What police would like the public to do is keep a look out for any diving equipment that seems out of place, anyone trying to offer it for sale at a cheaper price and any strange or unusual happenings that they saw on the water between overnight of...[August] 8th and 9th."
Anyone with information should contact Mission Beach, or Tully police, or call Crimestoppers.
