G'day Harry
I am using a Garmin 126 and find it great. Basically like the 128 but has a built in aerial so you can use it in a vehicle if you feel the need. Easy menu system and have had no probs so far except the aerial needs a good view of the sky to capture the satellites. Can't help you with price - got it at mates rates. :-X

I've got the Garmin GPS72, seems to do the job although its my first unit so I've got nothing to compare it to. Acurate to 4-5m on a nice day, easy to use, set me back $445 (inc. mounting bracket and 12V power cable). Springwood marine tried to sell me the GPS 76 for $650 but didn't seem any better than the 72, nothing worth $200 anyway ::)

try www.ja-gps.com.au they did a good deal and seem to be fairly well priced.

That's rather rich for a straight 76 especially when compared to the differences between the 76 and 72.

One might expect to pay that for the mapping version of the 76?

Cheers, Kerry.
