I've got a Wison 10 1/2 foot rod that is set up for an overhead reel. I'm looking at getting it re-done for a spinning reel. Can any one recommend a rod builder who is not too expensive.

Cheers, MON.

Michael, I don't know of anyone on your side of town sorry.
But I can recomend Russel from Browns Plains Bait and tackle, He builds a very nice rod.
Or Shane at Water Tower Bait and Tackle at Manly, he builds a good rod as well as doing repairs to a good as new standard and good value as well.
Cheers Kev.

or check out ya local tackle warehouse for a quote, take the rod along with you, they are reasonable, with all the fancy coatings they put on rods today it works out cheaper to have it done then buy all the stuff yourself, we are really are a throw away society, whatever happened to going down the local bamboo patch and building a rod from scratch ;D i probably couldnt do it these days tho roflmao.
cheers

Mate, I would recommend John Pope of rod designs at scarbough, He is the top in his class and has building for twenty years. I highly recommend him.
