New Riverview-Redbank Road Honours Election Promise: Beattie
Premier Peter Beattie has officially opened the new Riverview-Redbank Connection, declaring it will strengthen the area's sense of community.
"During the 2001 election campaign I promised my Government would build a new link between Riverview and Redbank, giving locals an alternative to the busy Ipswich Motorway.
"We have delivered on that promise.
"My Government and the Ipswich City Council have each contributed $2.5 million to this project and I want to thank the council for working with us."
