I use the metho only no salt, and they are as good as when they went in.

I believe that alcohol freezes at –6 degrees or less ( a bit like the vodka I keep in the freezer, Medicinal purposes only ;D) worms are preserved and do not crystallize, therefore keeping them life like, when thawed out. ;)

We dip our bloodworms in metho for about 5 minutes and then stick them in the freezer in a plastic container.
They work just as well as live ones and remain pliable! We used them regularly down the Gold Coast and have had great success.
We dig them at low tide in the creeks, and use them when we can get out.
Great for those after work trips when the tides aren't quite right for digging.
