Mr Bill Turner Chairman of SUNFISH Queensland today announced that their 45,000 members and the general angling public would be able to access a range of fishing related matters through the new SUNFISH Queensland internet web page.



The site will cover statewide angling matters such as current issues and angler education and provide valuable information for those persons wishing to communicate with the statewide SUNFISH branch network or State Angling Organisations.



Topical articles from the current editions of SUNFISH Newsletter will be available as well as information about the organisation he said. Additionally it will provide a communication medium for persons wishing to join SUNFISH or just provide comment on any issues.



“Too often in the past we have not been able to get our message across to the angling public and this is now the ideal forum” Mr Turner said. Controversial issues will not be “sidestepped” and SUNFISH opinion will be on the web for all to see and comment on.



During the forthcoming year SUNFISH will introduce further technology so that Queensland anglers will be the best informed in Australia and our communication system second to none in Queensland.



The site is currently in a basic format but as time progresses it will expand and provide “links” to other sites carrying similar information and they will hopefully have reciprocal links to us he said.



The site is a credit to all those who have worked on its development and especially those who have done it voluntarily Mr Turner said.

This is an example of why I have not renewed my Sunfish membership and believe Sunfish have lost all credibility in the North.

The Sunfish NQ which apparently is different to Sunfish Central have a website
http://www.sunfishqueensland.org/ and have had this site for many years, free, by Arthur Dobe.

They also produce a magazine called “Sunfish”

With the infighting going on and now the duplication of resources and doubling up of spending the money Sunfish is a lost cause.

Sunfish Central did not support the first Website and now they are off to make a new one.

Sounds a bit like a political party.

The shame about this is all the hard work put into gaining credibility was wiped out overnight with the fighting between NQ and Central.

Sunfish NQ and CENTRAL need to sit down, forget EGOS and Bullshit and get on with it. “TOGETHER”

45,000 members ?????? is that current financial members ?

Sunfish was stating they represented 850,000 anglers ?

Ask around in the North and you will see quiet a few people share my views.

Anyway, back to the topic, http://www.sunfishqueensland.org/ check out “Your Say” and see the lack of postings from the Southern mob even when it was one big happy family.

Hi Alan ,tis a shame we have a GREG nurse shark ,or was it meant to be a GREG NORMAN the shark #::) simple typo on the "new" website.....

And yes Al ,does seem to be an imaginary "tropic of Capricorn or is it cancer?" #line in the sand at times #:-X

Don't know WHY ,or what it is meant to achieve ,but as far as Gazza is concerned ,QLD ,ALL of Q'ld , operates on realtime ,not an hour ago or is it ahead #???
