digital camera photos

ok ..I know I am a dummy and you all know that to so please help me with this one


when i try to put a photo atachment, downloaded from the camera into a file, it always comes up as 115mb, so its 15mb over the allowable size

How can I make it smaller and still attach it

I know I can scan it and do it that way but cant I get it straight out of a file?

Use a program like ifanview(its free).

To reduce the file size of your image.

I use the image resize/resample to reduce the file size.

yes thanks Steve I di that but it was all to do with scanning not digital....I think...lol

And start at about this section
"Then scan the image, this will then display the image in your photo editing software."
From this section on is all about editing, sizing and compressing the image.

Hi Wesley that infanview is just the best ;D, small, fast, easy to use and does everyhing I will ever need in photo software just mucking around on the net etc. The other 2 big packages got deleted because they were now no longer needed, still yet to miss those white elephants. Grunta download it, you will pick it up fast, yell out if you need a quick tutorial. cheers nq

sure the photo isnt 150kb, thats about the size of a normal digi photo. a 115 mb would not fit on a standard digi camera without a large card in it

:)Downloaded irfanview myself after reading this post....have it working ..sort of lol..
Not sure i downloaded all of it???
Quick tutorial re ...resizing ???...yes please just to make sure im on the right track lol.
