I'm sure they will identify it as a grey nurse!! That way they can have an excuse to close the whole coast!!!!

Yes the skipper of the dive boat that was flipped on the tweed bar with divers on board was fined $450.00 and still holds his maritime license (NSW)

Yes the dive boat skipper is $450.00 lighter, and he still has his NSW licence, but he no longer has his job. They have been advertising it for about a month now.
Words out, and he knows he no longer wants to be a skipper from what ive heard.
The judge could not believe the maximum fine could only be $450 apparently, would have fined him lots more.

Darren

Yeah Judge was a little amazed at the "maximum" penality of only $450. So he lost his job? but then of course truckies aren't told to do what they do either, are they ;D

As for sharks one of the drum lines off the beach here was picked up 25 miles out to sea. The Tiger was still towing the whole rig, including the drum, the chain and anchor and still heading out to sea.

Cheers, Kerry.

I saw the guy on the news down in Vic last night who had the shark on the back of his ute - but they hadn't officially identified it as of yet, said it was a mako, whaler or white I think. It looked pretty messed up on the TV. Could have been a white shark from the angles. Does anyone know for sure what it was??? The guy who caught it was going to keep the jaws apparently. I missed the start of the story, but how did he actually catch that beast anyhow? He said he towed it into shore with his anchor rope? #???

Latest info here was a Mako, purportedly on 13kg, got caught on anchor line and was towed in still attached to anchor. Some things there do not gel eh?????? Sir Noelus.

No, some things there do not seem to add up, time will tell the truth I guess. On the news, the sharks gills were still puffing in and out, if it was dragged backwards to shore, it would have drowned for sure. Must hae been it's nerves still kickin'?

I didn't think the story was all that well presented in my opinion, they sort of made out the guy to be a bit of a Vic Hislop in a way, that shark would have had a few years behind it and certainly didn't die a humane quick death I wouldn't imagine. Each to their own. Just my two bobs worth.

Hooroo.
