Yeah I do, only got a tinnie so spend alot of time in the Calliope or up the Narrows. Get out around Rat Is and Facing whenever the weather allows.
I would fish on average 1-2 nights during the week, tides pending and normally both days of the weekend.
Live in Gladstone so not alot done around Boyne/Tannum. Not sure who would be interested but should all get together one day, even if it is at the Yaughties for a #6.

Gday boys[and girls] Well I used to live there and boy do I miss the fishing. Try to get back as often as I can, but latley that hasnt been happening. Most of my fishing was done on the feef around Irving and Cabbage Patch. Since I sold my boat "DOUGHMAKER" a 560F haines I havent done a whole lot. My mate has a 21FT Mustang which is at my disposal and I just recently bought a 17ft Quinny centre console. I was talking to him on friday night and he said that all but mast head and cabbage patch were closed as such.[I also spear] It sounds to me like you guys have been poked up the a--e with a great force. At least I know that we can go wider in the mustang but at what expense? These white collar w--kers wouldn't know a fish if it bit them in the arse! I bet they haven't even been to the reef [probably dont even know where it is!] All I can say is that I feel sorry for you guys. At least you can go to Masthead and get a good feed of baldy"s. P.S Glad I sold my boat when I did. Not a good investment in that town now.

Live west of you on the coalfields. Forced into retirement & so can't fish as much as I would like even though I have the time.

Should try and organise a windy day to have a lager watching over the yacht club boat ramp. Good for a laugh sometimes, and good to see who is using what.

Sounds like a good idea, Corry. Having a few beers while laughing at other poor buggers struggling with their boats in the wind at the ramp. Its bad to laugh at other peoples misfortune, maybe thats what makes it so funny :-X
Cheers

I live in Gladstone and fish the area with sea fox a fair bit - weather prevailing... I've got a 17ft CC named white lighting that we used in the hookup, caught up with bladerunner at the hookup but weather hasn't been too kind since. Mainly fish 12 mile, and around Genny Lind (however you spell it [smiley=scholar.gif]) I'm out of the area the end of next month but i'd be keen to get a fish/brew in before i'm off.

Well there might be an interest in an ale or two here by the sounds of it.
Anyone up for one. Have to work out a time that we can get together, I work normal day work so am available most weekends.
If anyone wants to organise something or work out a time to go, I would be more than willing. Let me know if you's wanna get together. I will probably be looking at hitting the yachties this Sunday Arvo for a giggle anyway.

Count me in Corry, I reckon it would be good to catch up with some of the CQ members. Cant let all these SE Qlders have all the meet & greets and swap info and us poor buggers miss out. Post up a time for a feww beers on Sunday and I'll try and get there.
Cheers (in advance)

Well, how does 3.30 sound. I will book a table in the corner on the verandah, if a few show up, that'll make it even better.

Just to update, yeah I know, not that long since my last post, I just figured I would make sure I can get a table.
I have booked a table for 8 on the corner of the balcony for 3.00 - 3.30. It is in the name of Ausfish, so if any of us get there first we know where to go.
I hope I'm allowed to use the name for this Steve, I don't want to step on any toes.

I have created a new post for the Sunday Session for those of CQ. Please read details off that and if there are any further questions, just ask.
If this is a hit, we may make it a regular for those windy weekends.

Hey guys, I dont actually live in boyne but until a month ago i was visiting every month for at least 4 days. My brother has been up there workin for the last 12 months so why i have the opportunity to fish a different area (i live 5 hours driveaway) we have just been leavin the boat up there. Did a fair bit of crabbin mainly in the boyne as boat ramps close. Did a bit of fishin out around seal rocks but went average. Fished the boyne south trees a bit and have had some good and bad results. I prefer castin plastics and lures so some days can be hot and cold. Only the one barra from south trees so far. Fished awonga a bit to but only landed the one barra out there. My brother heads out with mates to the reefs and they usually go well. Though his job may finish soon so it will all have to end. Its been good to learn a different area especially the salt as im more of an impoundment person. I would like a bit more time and explore some more areas.
Any way yous are lucky up there. Also that yacht club is a good place to sink a few and wish i could be there in time.
