That bloke is either taking the piss, or a ######... i'd offer maybe $50 but not a grand, thats just f**king nuts. You could get a river front bloody penthouse for the night cheaper than that.

top floor northside of the River Plaza down the vulture street end of Southbank would be my pick. I stayed there once (not during fireworks) and view was great.

Considering they've given them away I wonder if selling them is illegal ???. Might be worth checking out, they might cancel his flag and give it someone else ;D

• The Vessel that you stipulate on this registration form must be the vessel you intend to bring to
SUNCORP Riverfire.
• Vessels must clearly display entry permit flags on the port side. It is recommended that flags be
firmly tied to the guide rail or radio antenna of the vessel.
• Any vessel not displaying an entry permit flag will be stopped by Maritime Safety Officers and
asked to produce the flag. Vessels who have not registered for an entry permit flag will not be
allowed entry to the SUNCORP Riverfire restricted area or dedicated mooring zones. No
exceptions will be made.
• The personal information collected on this application will be used to allow vessel owners to obtain
an ‘entry permit flag’ to gain access to the dedicated spectator mooring zones as authorised under
the Transport Operations (Marine Safety) Act 1994. Authorised departmental staff will have
access to this information and your personal details will not be disclosed to a third party without
your consent unless required by law.
• The personal information collected on this registration form will be kept and used by Riverfestival
and disclosed to and used by Suncorp Metway and its related bodies, for the purpose of sending
promotional material to you.

He must be selling the boat to go with the ticket. Only way you can sell one. Must be a tosser or a scammer. It's worthless to anyone who buys it so it aint worth 2 bob.

I scored a ride on a boat with one of the folks from Yatala Boat & Marine Centre.

I don't know why everyone thinks the flag will be no good to anyone. They don't have your registration number printed on them, and the cops have got better things to do than checking your paperwork. Anyway, not my problem as I'll be using my flag myself.
