Well, it's about to happen, I'm heading across the boarder...yep, you heard me right. I'll be heading to Sydney in the end of October and I'm hoping to take some fishing gear (after some persuasion of course) and I'd like to know some spots to try freshwater and/or saltwater fishing anywhere from Dubbo to the coast and back up to Rockhampton (you know that little dustbowl in central Qld).
I've never tried trout fishing and been told it's a must although I'm not about to go and buy fly gear rather stick to baitcaster and spin outfits that I already have.
Any suggestions?
We'll hopefully be travelling in an 80 series Landcruiser by then and possibly towing a camper or at least trailer with us.
I'll take back all those mutterings I made about trout and species introduction if they live up to the reputation I have been told about ;).
I guess we've just been spoilt up here in CQ qith the Barra and tropical fish hey?
