Hervey Bay Options ? Advice needed.

I am heading up this coming weekend for 4 days R & R away from the Gold Coast. I am taking my fiance, and we are both keen anglers.

I am hoping someone local to the area can put me onto a charter that operates in the area. I dont really want a dedicated Sportsfishing operator at this stage, just the name of a crew that runs some reef trips for a day or half day out of the Urangan area. I'm not usually a bait soaker, but a day out with the missus will make a pleasant change from racing round the ocean with a spread of lures.

Any advice welcome and appreciated.

which is a dedicated Hervey Bay website. I haven't heard any bad reports from any of the charter operators. I usually use Time N Tide charters but they're an extended charter option.

Might have missed the boat for Damon Phil ;), should be on his way north for the Cairns season.

As for a bottom bouncing charter you couldn't go past Hervey Bay Fishing Charters that run the boat KJ at the moment. He is consistently bagging out on Pearlies on the shelf. Last Thursday we heard him on the radio crossing the bar on his way back in at 1:30 p.m. after bagging out so that is the best you will do for a 1/2-3/4 day sort of trip with realistic expectations of catching a good haul.
