There is funding available for fishing related projects. #State projects up to 5,000 each to a total of $50,000 #available ( was $100,000 in previous years)
This could be for things as simple as a shade or a cleaning table - and could be subsidised by local council $. # Maybe for stocking groups but not for fingerlings. # Not for academic research

Projects to enhance fishing experience #- re snagging rivers, #artificial reefs # etc # #but NOT projects like ramps that would normally be supplied by the states
It is important we get a lot of high quality applications submitted # - so that the funds stay available in future years
A am coordinating a small group who will ( for free) # help small groups do up the paperwork. # #I know government applications can be a pain in the but. # # But #- if you have a good idea and are willing to work on it, talk to councillors etc we will help you do the paperwork.
Wanted also #- more volunteers # - senior Public Servants wit experience in submissions, # Accountants and Lawyers # # There will only be a few # #but this will be a great pro bono service to rec fishers.
