my mate sent me this link, unbelievable to think they spear these monsters

Me just being stupid again, but what if you were to try the same scenario with one of them Mako's of over 1000 pound?
No safety cage. No shotgun spears.
Now this could be an interesting one:)

The tuna in my personal photo (left) was that big but it aciidently went through the wash and shrunk.

How nice is that eh....would love to spear something like that, although without getting in details, lets just say shooting fin like that with a standard gun is like fishing for whales with a handline. Awesome stuff.

For those interested, head to www.spearfishing.com.au, go to the forum, check out the Diving/Hunting section, and a few threads down you'll see two yellowfin reports from South Africa (I think). Amazing stuff.
