Have a look at the EPA website at http://www.epa.qld.gov.au/parks_and_forests/marine_parks/moreton_bay/

Or view the Map at
http://www.epa.qld.gov.au/media/parks_and_forests/mbzonemap.pdf

Have also attached a pic from the map

Just looking at that map, then looking at my GPS, would you be able to line up the beacons to know the zone area? Thats the way it looks on my GPS, any confirmations?

cheers

I have had discussions at length with the powers that be. The line really is where the reef starts, that is before the depth demishes. They call it the 2m countour.
I asked how to distinguish where that countour was, and the answer I got was, the very bottom before the reef rises.
I also asked if I could go into the area, but not be fishing. I was told yes, if my rods were stored away.
Next question was " what if I had fish on board at the time"

The answer to that one was a bit vague, and it came back to an honesty system. Ummmm, right .Could you imagine being in there with fish on board, and having that little ladybird from the department, pull you up? Regards David

You are allowed to fish the sunken reef, even though its inside the line on the map, but you must stay outside the 2m low water mark.

I DON'T KNOW HOW THEY CAN POLICE THIS AREA BECAUSE THERE ARE MANY DEEP WATER CHANNELS IN BETWEEN THOSE SHALLOW REEFS. :o :o
I,m talking 6 to 8 metres depth at low tide. ;D
Great place to fish soft plastics but beware you need some local knowledge before entering this area.!!!!!!!
Like Brian said you are safe as long as you are fishing water deeper than 2 metres at the lowest low tide.
