In about the same era as the creation of the term "S.H.I.T" (17th Century) the noble men and woman would catch a ship from London down the Themes to France.
Because of the condition and difference between the 2 banks of the Themes, those in first class decided to stipulate where on the ship they wanted to sleep as to ensure the best views. So they placed a sign on the bagage which ment "Port Out Starboard Home" or "P.O.S.H".
To this day the term POSH is keep for those who can afford fist class or alike.
Just another bit of usless information to tuck away never to be used again.
