Samplings of Spanish mackeral landed from 4 QLD regions has shown that recreational catch to be bigger and more diverse in length and age than the commercial one. Annual recreational take was between 680tonne and 850 tonne with the commercial take ranging from 380tonne and 720 tonne.
Thought for sure the pros would be taking more than the rccies I guess I was wrong
