Sign on for the 10tH Annual Putt Bennett Family Fishing Festival is on the 06 Jan 2005 at the North Beach Recreation and Bowling Club opposite the ramp on the Bellinger River at Mylestom. Sign on from 4 to 6pm.
The first 150 children to sign on will receive a free fishing rod and reel.
There are over 101 prizes/Trophies available during the competition over the three days.
Weigh-in is at 4 to 6pm on Friday and Saturday. On sunday from 11 am to 12pm.
There are 24 categories in the Catch and Release section.
Also normal gutted and gilled for nine different species.
There will also be classes for the Limited Deep Sea competition.
Masters class for both Male and Female (over 50yrs)
Adults class for both Male and Female
Junior class for both Male and Female 12yrs to 18yrs
Sub-junior class for both Male and Female up to 12yrs.
Age taken on the 6JAN2005.
Come along it is a great competition with lots of prizes including random draws of Competitor numbers on Friday and Saturday after weigh-in for six rod and reels each day
and eight rods and reels on Sunday after presentation of trophies. Members must be present with competition card to claim draw prize.
Over 45 klms of Estuary fishing in the Bellinger and Kalang river. Unspoilt beaches for that Dart, whiting, bream, Mulloway.
North Beach renown for its large Mulloway. Best this year was just under 30kg. Come along and have a go.
Only 20 minutes south of Coffs Harbour. Approximately halfway between Sydney and Brisbane just off the Pacific Hwy.
