You should get hold of them and read them.

Why would the average angler NEED to read these ?

Fishing is not that complex.

Are you trying to scare people off fishing ?

Fishing is already very complex and from what I heard today there is more to come. Rules are changing all the time.

It's a bit like driving a car. You need to know the rules before you go out there.

Fair dinkum Derek :P :P :P

Your blowing everything out the water here with this. Mate. I’m not sure about others, but I get to know the regs about the species “I’m” chasing, not the other smelly old blokes around the place.

I just reck’n that your comments make it more confusing. “need to know” my ass. Wouldn’t it have been better just to put up a link to the “Recreational Fishing in Queensland” site and let the bloke go through that info.

Sorry buddy, but I don’t need to know about the Spanner Crab Fishery and I sure don’t need someone telling me what I “need” to know >:(

Well Zed me may just have to agree to disagree.

If you saw the original post on this it only had the Act, Regulations and Fin Fish Plan but I was told all the legislation wasnt there.

I think, and I am sure I am not alone on this one, that anyone interested in Rec Fishing should have a good knowledge of all the legislation.

I could have posted the GBRMPA zoning stuff as well I suppose as well as the state zoning plans. The list is endless and in some ways they all impact on rec fishers.

It's worth knowing as well what restrictions the pros have on them as well.

Dont read them if you dont want to.
