Well with the mackeral run underway i was just wondering what is everyone's favourite way to cook them up?

steaks or cutlets dusted in flour+paprika or flour+curry & done on the BBQ or frypan.

fingers in a beer batter deep fried with a coldie

cant go past bread crumbed fillets for any fish IMO.

mackerel steaks marinated in sweet chilli sauce and soy sauce and grilled on the barbeque absolutely awesome

Skinless, boneless fillet drizzled with crushed Garlic, olive oil and soy sauce,wrapped in alfoil, lots of salt and pepper and done on the barbie, yummo....

;)You can also try nice thick Mackeral Steaks with slices of Tomato,Onion,little crushed Garlic,Olive oil,n a wee bit of watered down Tomato paste on top..
In a baking dish. some foil atop, in the Oven for maybe 3/4 an hour to an hour :P.
Try n see how ya go
Did i forget the chopped parsely ontop also??..
Might as well add the White Wine ;), in the glass keeping the thirst down while the fish stews ;).

Deep fried is good with teriyaki sauce. :)
