Daniel, my callsign for the boat is 'Corrysplace', haven't got the name on the boat, not sure if I want to at this stage.
I use channel 82 VHF, although, don't call me too much, I take it your from Caloundra, as I am in Gladstone, I don't think the ergatrons will travel that far.

Hey Guys,
Thought id add to this thread.
Im in the Gold Coast/Moreton Bay region, and i monitor VHF 73 & 74.
My new callsign is "Shipped In".
Im on air pretty much every day as i also work on the water.
If I go up into Brisbane I generally moitor 73 and 82.
Regards
Darren

I have always recognised channel 94 on 27 meg to be the station to contact fellow Ausfishers in the Moreton Bay area. Most boats have a 27 around here, it seems to be well monitored in the area. But a lot of boats have both, but not all.
I have always recognised 94 as being the channel for a chit chat.
Cheers Kev.

I am an associate member of Redcliffe Coastguard and go by the name Mobile 157. I have VHF and usually use 73 and listen to 16 sometimes.

Hi Steve

Many of us are from Brisbane and SE Qld, but we have a growing number from North Qld. But we also have a bunch on Mexicans, but I wouldn't know how many.
