I heard of one on the sunny coast (coolum creek) and one a few days earlier on the gold coast somewhere. I think it was on last night news, but thats all i know.

I have heard nothing up here ???

Been listing to coast radio all day, But then what are a few dead fish on a good news day?

Rapid rise in air and water temperature lead to low amounts of dissolved oxygen in the water, thus killing large amounts of fish. This in a confined waterway such as a creek kills fish quite quickly.

Fish kill was reported in Coolum creek, one of my local haunts.. havent fished it in weeks.. but yeh.. it wouldnt suprise me, its shallow creek and susceptable to over heating compared to the main river system, it also has a fair bit of sugar cane farming on the edges which wouldnt help.. but id say its a natural occurance.. and it was mainly bream from the reports ive heard...
