Just been looking around to see if i can find anything about a wreck or reef (structure) i came across awhile back. anyway thought someone might find this site interesting www.hydro.gov.au/n2m/dumping/cwa/boat.xls.

na mate i just found it and saved the link. i`m trying to find info on some structure i came across out off cape cleveland. its to straight to be a reef if you know what i mean. Like just come straight up off a flat bottom and then just drops straight back down. just from sounder readings i`m guessing its about 30m by 10ish. anyway if anyone knows of any other sites that list sites of wrecks and stuff let me know.

A 30m long shipping container? Shipping containers generally come in 2 sizes, 20 ft and 40 ft.

is this structure you found, on a line from the cape cleveland lighthouse across towards florence bay about 2 or 3 miles from the lighthouse ?

if so... it may be the old ships ballast dumping ground from years ago.
