Channel nine news advert at 5 showed some footage of sharks off the Gold Coast following a school of Pillies. Might be worth looking at @ 6pm

Hi Guys,

I was lucky enuff to be the skipper of the VMR boat that channel 9 were on to film the underwater footage. We had them in the middle of these bait fish with their underwater camera attached to a long wooden stick hanging out the side door hoping to get a pic of the sharks. We could see them all round, but unfortunately none of them wanted to be TV stars. At one stage the helicopter hovering above said that they thought there were about 100 sharks surrounding our boat. It was a really awesome experience!

I reckon one drag of the drag net and you would never need to vivt the bait shop again. Is anyone chasing any of that bait. Also are there any other fish amongst those schools must be a few trevors or mackeral amongst em.

There were heaps of other fish around as well - not sure exactly what they were, but there were lots of them and good sizes too.
