HI all can any one tell me how far south box jelly fish and crocs migrate...

I have heard Crocs as far as Bundy and Box jellys go pretty much to Hervey Bay

I like to know as i have property near burrum and looking to buy more in the future if im made redundant maybe north of hervey but i dont want to live near any crocs or stingers.

If you got taken by a croc you'd at least make the national news! You can't buy publicity like that!

Mate, I have lived at Agnes water for the last 12 years and visited the area for a further 4 years before that. Twice since 1974 there has been irikandji, and that was after about 6weeks straight of strong northerlies, at the same time they were as far south as Caloundra. I have never heard of a box jelly in this area, the closest would be around gladstone. As for crocs, there hasn,t been a sighting south of Gladstone in who knows how many years. Officially parks and wildlife call there range from the narrows north. And believe me, if they were around I would have bumped into one for sure. I get to places around here that very few people ever see.

There has been box jelly's recorded in moreton bay, but i'd imagine there few and far between...

get Box Jellyfish at Mooloolaba, i know cuz ive been stung by the @$@#$ers on the legs.. not common tho, last time it was Xmas time about 8yrs ago
