How much more exciting would that have been if the fish had landed in the boat.
Not good...

That video was released on

APRIL 1st just so you know.

I've got footage of a black about 50 kilos by the side of the boat, where I am on top of the gunwhale looking down the lense and the thing launches itself straight at me....

Also one of the younger deckies up here got speared through the calf late last year. Imagine the risk of an infection from a marlin bill ?

Seen a Mako land in a boat.

Cheers

I just luv the pinning, and then it goes off literally to pin the culprit but misses!!

Boy they're smart!!! Oh sh***t!!! as the fish rattles the overhead rods.

Absolute classic.....

i have heard 1st hand a story of a cranky little black marlin that decided he wanted to come inside the boat... not just in the cock pit. the fish shot through the cockpit, through the door, ended up down in the kitchen!!

Yeah Jeffo I give them a lot of respect I've seen a sail tailwalk towards a boat from 50mtrs away and then jump clean over it. Two years ago had a 1000lb model black turn on the boat and body slam the back of the boat thankfully I fell on the cockpit floor trying to get out of it's road. I know one boat in cairns sporting two holes through 20mm thick glass from the same 250lb fish first one up the side in and out through the galley cupboard second below waterline in transom bill snapped so was left to plug the hole. my advise to anyone taking them on for the first time in a small boat is get a longer tag pole.
