Mother in law fish.
Or Morwong. They come a lot bigger then that little fella.
(dissclaimer-no bias intended in the name mother in law fish. They just give me the shits as well.)
"BIFF" ooorrrrr honey I didn't mean that about your mum, and stop looking over my shoulder would ya.

Have actually been told that if you know how to fillet them and cut out the layer of fat around the top of the fillet, they are not bad. Seems there are a few fish like that. So next time I catch areasonable size one, I may give it a go. Will let you all know how it goes.

Catch em easy if one uses Squid, they love squid!! and can be found around wrecks, sandy patches adjascent to reef more so in shallower water than deep though have caught them as deep as 150ft..
Yes if one bleeds them and cuts awy the red meat within the Fillet they taste okay , but what a lot of fish to waste just for a feed is my thinking ey:)..
Cheers
