Hey Dignity
# # # # # # # maybe your boss wants you to do some of that dirty four letter word ( WORK )#[smiley=helpa.gif] [smiley=wut.gif]

And I thought swearing was banned on this site. :-X :-X :-X
I have to run queries which each can take up to 5 mins. Other activities on the PC hinder them but not surfing.

The interesting thing is that Fishweb still works, and all the other sites I visit work it is only since Eater when they upgraded the firewall that Ausfish has been stopped.

Try using using the IP address for ausfish instead i.e http://216.121.1.53 ;D Seems odd for a company to be blocking a specific web site. If that doesn't work you could go through a proxy server if you can't live without a dose of ausfish at work :)

Sam it's a long shot - what about an anonymous server to get to ausfish?

Some time ago, in the early days of the internet, I worked for CQU In Rockhampton. They were spending about $800,000pa on internet connections.

They did a survey on what the net was being used for. They found the usage was equally divided, 1/3 was Porn, 1/3 was chat and 1/3 was games, the remainder was academic research [smiley=laola.gif]

The net (Bad Pun) result of the survey?

They hid the results so no one would find out how much time and money was being wasted [smiley=furious2.gif]

OK - it's been a busy week - availability to surf at work - zilch, very busy period etc. finally this afternoon had the first free time to spare - figured 70 hours this week was enough so tried the IP address - first impression great, got me straight into the site - any link thereafter, same problemo - next 3 - 4 weeks are busy so will not even be able to think of logging on (WORk - as beggar described it - and also going to the Daly River).

nqcairns - problem with most software in corporations that have an IT dept is that you need Administrative Rights to install anything - as far as I can tell nobody in our corp even understands the word FISHING. Although some of them drink pretty well.

Hey, I see jugs is also posting on Fishnet now,

Sam
