Body of missing boatie found

THE body of a man has been found in a submerged vessel that sunk earlier today near Fraser Island off the south east Queensland coast.

I also hope it makes more people think before they go boating, of the safety required when boating

saw on the news the footage of the boat , it had pro fisherman numbers on the side.

A sad loss, he was alone, crossing a bar in bad conditions.

I guess he had done it hundreds of times before.

A reminder to us all to always be extra careful, you don't get a second chance.

Heard the news this morning.(great way to start the day) :(
Was only up there on the weekend, And feel this tragic accident reminds everyone of the dangers when crossing coastal bars.

I very nearly came to grief crossing the bar at Wooli in NSW some years back. I am sad to hear of this man and I am sure we all feel for his family. The sea can sometimes be very unforgiving.
