Perhaps I am being rather stupid with this thread, but I have often wondered what becomes of all the big old snodgers of some species. ??? I am sure that reef dwellers probably become food, but what of creek, river and esturary fish. Lizards, Jacks, Bream etc. Do these fish have natural predators besides us?
Sure, some people sometimes hook up an absolute beauty, but where are all of the beauties? :-/ Bream for example, there are millions and millions of them, but I have never seen a skeleton or pulled one in the drag net of any of these fish. Do they just hole up and die and the worms eat them? Does anyone have any thoughts on this? ::)
