Byron Bay fishing

Anyone know any good spots for onshore fishing at Byron, and what baits would you use. Going up next week.

mate, there are heaps of rock fishing sites on the southern side of the light house, catch most of your normal rock stuff, also if you wander to between lennox and ballina there are quite a few good spots, tailor and bream currently running. hope this helps ;)

Broken head must be a prime tailor spot - just be careful coz the hippies might harrass u for causing "unneccesary distress to fish"

Maybe you can get friendly with the Hippies, and then you can catch anything you want, just let the mind wander.
