I can well understand why people want to join this site. It is simply the best. so many blokes that are so free with their help and advice and so many knowledgeable people to give that help.

I was one of those who joined yesterday!

Not only is this a great site but it goes to show how many people are serious about their fishing (particularly in S.E. Queensland).

Regards to you all,
Chris.

Who would have thunk it.

When I joined 3 years ago there was only just over 1,000 members.

Regulars like Lucky_Phil, Webby, Jaybee, Blaze, Fitzy, Nugget, Smithy, Heath etc already had a presence then and it's great to see they still do now.

Here's my first post

And here is my first fishing report not long after - my God was I ever that skinny

How many of you were around before when we had the old version of the chat Board. Would have been around 2000/2001.

We sure have progressed since then.

Congrats to all concerned, particulary Steve. ;) I don't think for one single minute that the SE corner take their fishing any more seriously than any of us in the rest of the state. 8) It is simply that that is where the population is concentrated. I have learnt so much since joining Ausfish, and Sue and I have made some new friends as well.
Thank you everyone

Derek,

Do you mean the old ring binder type web page?
That's the first design Ausfish that I remember. I've been a member since Jan 2001..... Geez I feel old

Steve, the site keeps getting better and better, thanks to you and of course the 8000 members.

Cheers,

Congratulations. #Ausfish is a great site with heaps of information on fishing, boating and safety on the water.
I learn so much from hanging out here. #Also it has great entertainment value with the sense of humor the members have.
Cheers,

lol Troy. Its been a memorable couple of years for me on ausfish aswell (hard to believe its been that long). This site is so much fun and addictive its not surprising the number of members keeps rising. I've noticed some of the other big fishin' sites are looking pretty lean...not this one!.
