Extract from the Wynnum Herald, 17 August 2005:
"The Australian Fisheries & Conservation Minister, Senator Ian Macdonald said that community groups, associations, companies, institutions and individuals can apply for the first round of the RFCG Program for amounts up to $100 000 for local projects that improve the fishing experience.
Projects could involve improvements at boat ramps, funding for VMR associations, restocking and resnagging rivers and waterways, washing down facilities at boat ramps etc.
Applications close on October 14. Visit www.daff.gov.au/recfishinggrants or email fishinggrants@daff.gov.au or phone 02 6272 3848"
