Here is my gripe for the night & it's not even late. I have been reading an Australian fishing magazine & had a look on an Australian Barra web site & noticed the terminology they used for lures are, crankbaits & gerkbaits ect. This is Australia not America. Why are they following the yanks? It turns me off reading their articles. Am I the only one that gets annoyed with this?

Pash,

I have heard it said before that many ppl still use pounds of weight for a fish knots of wind and miles to a fishing spot and yes you are right we do tend to follw the yanks when it come to the use of lures.

Too early in the night to be changing the world I think..

knots and nautical miles isn't a yank thing i thought it was the standard for global marine navigation?

ive got to agree with you on that one adrian if i was reading a magazine and it had people saying yall, yall, yall it would put me off the magazine quite a fair bit.
