Hi Megamont,
From what I can see its a Red Bass or Two spot Snapper (Lutjanis bohar). They are supposed to be bad for Cigauatera poison and not recommended for eating.

Runs a hire boat out of King Ash Bay.
She! Believe it or not came along side to show us what they were geting outside.

Crimson seaperch. Also known as small-mouthed seaperch. Pretty average on the table I think compared with alot of fish your likely to catch off the same spot.
