Spangled Perch On Sp's

Can you catch Spangled Perch on plastics? if so what do you recommend also what Bait & Rig as a Backup PLAN B

ive caught them on 1 1/2 in. sliders (sea grub) in pumpkin shrimp colour on 1/16 jig-head off the bank. good backup rig is a simple running sinker rig on light line with pea sinker and small suicide style hook. (about size 10 i think) use pieces of worm or small shrimp. you can even create a 2 hook paternosetter style rig to fish differing depths of water. where are u planning on fishing for them?? theres stacks of the little blighters in Baroon pocket dam.
