where to get a feed

I am planning on throwing a rod in the car for a fish before work.
I guess the best targets will be whiting & flatties at this time of year , but I have a go for anything
Im landbased so can anyone suggest a location ,
my office is at Burpengary, so Bribie , beachmere, D/ Bay, come to mind but I dont know where to start .
If anyone can give me aheads-up.
