The reef probably near Swains.

If you know or can identify any of these reefs please let me know.

Yeh, thats awesome! Must've been great flight. There aren't many fishos out there that would hire a passenger jet to scout new fishn spots ;) :D

I was the guy in the back of the plane yelling "WHAT ARE THE GPS MARKS!!!!" :o

I may get a flight off Bribie to get some sand photos.

Latest shot of Maroochy river mouth from last week.

If you have a handheld GPS just hold it close to the window.

I wish I were on my way home..... :-[

Went fishing here on Sunday with temperature between 6-12 degrees during the day and not a thing. Just frozen fingers from the 10-25 mph winds.

I dream of those warm waters Dug!!! :-/ It's only going to get colder and I'm planning another fishing session in two weeks time - who knows rain, hail, sleet or snow. Maybe a fish?

Look away now, those photos are chilling me....

Great shot Brenmer can you find any of the reef?

I would love to know where those channels and lagoons are in DSC_0292.jpg.

When the weather is good and seal clear and calm I will try to charter a light plane off Bribie or redcliffe and get some photos of the sand between Bribie and Moerton they are just amazing patterns.

I think Zeeke may be the back seat passenger on that trip?

cheers doug

Dug,

The photo is from google earth, you can download it from the here http://earth.google.com/ . That way you can check out roughly where you traveled and match your photos. You can also get the long/lat position if you want to put the way-point into your GPS.
