have to admit, as an experienced fiherman, luv the shows that are on telly simply because they are about fishing, ya can't beat the kik*rs e homevideo with some awesome catches though, they are the best, no ads as we know what we want to buy already, just pure fishing.
Cheers, Mark.

like amatuer fishing. seeing what the average joe is catching is a whole lot more realistic than watching rex hunt cram 2 weeks footage in to a 30 min time slot :)

I think a mixture of amature fishing action and informative would be tops. Get to see your average joe catching good fish while giving away a few tips and techniques at same time.

Voted for amateur, Heath...You know i'd rather watch your vids than all the others on TV.
Although shows like Wildfish, A River Somewhere etc take some beating.

Anything that shows you technique and rig set up for different species.
Basically anything that shows the amatuer how to catch fish

More on Bait rigging
roughly giving spots
Showing sounder details ie whats on the sounder
How to look for bait.
I know a lot of these things but different techniques are good in different places.
the whole experience.

Amatuer footage is okay when people leave the zoom button on the camera alone! AND when they cut out all the rubbish in between fish AND when they don't move the camera too quickly. I get seasick just watching some of it ;D

The Fishing DVD series is great value for money as well. 2 hours of fishing for under $10. Fishing DVD 3 will be out next month

Something you can learn from, which excludes Rex Hunt (is he even doing another series?)

ET is fairly good, he's certainly my wifes favourite....hmmmm >:(

Rex retired didn't he? You've got Lee Rainer and Paul Worsteling instead.

Heath, your DVD's were great as they are sorta different to Rex, don't mind Rex either actually.
Tips on what to look for when fishing unknown water would be great as for me... most water is unknown!
So what you look for and how you use your sounder would be great to see and naturally rigging is always interesting.
Keep it up mate.

Would like to add some more.

Fishing Western Australia is good value, being an ex W.A. girl.

Don't get a lot out of trout fishing stories (fresh water) although I may try for a nice little rainbow one day.

I wouldn't mind seeing if they make good towing baits for mackeral..... couple of ganged 8/0s, jobs done!

You can't beat the adventurous escapades of real fishing like Extreme Land Base Game Fishing. It is all entertaining but Rex Sucks #8-)

I'm only fairly new to this offshore fishing stuff so I want to know how to rig my lines, what to look for on the sounder, what sort of bait or lures to use.
Sounds like your dvd's are OK.
If you want to send me the link...
Cheers

Heath - the older shows that showed the tehniques and rigs were good, particularly some of the lesser used knots. Mainly, I'm into Moreton Bay fishing and always learning.

ET is ok but amatuer can be great as long as they do what SS said. I do lots of videoing and for about every hours of tape you get about 15mins of good footage and if you lucky about 2 mins of great footage. I saw old Rex spend 3 week in my home town to make a 30 mins show and it was all BS. Thats why I like the true amature footage.

I can't really comment about amateur vids, since i requested info about buying them over a week ago via email, and am yet to receive a reply.Maybe that's why they're called amateurs?

I'm retracting the above remark as it appears the problem was simply email vanishing into the void. Thanks for your help Heath.
