Looks like he was taking part in the Barra blockaid done yearly at Corroboree Billabong on the Mary River. I took part in a couple of those in my time in the NT. What is your Cousins name? My wife could know hin as she worked for Fisheries for many years up there. The blockaid is done yearly to asess the numbers and condition of the fish in the billabong.
