Never seen so many lightening strikes on the energex map in less than the 0>5 category. Marburg Radar looks good too.
Looks very black on the western horizon from my window.

Looks like a pretty thin line so far, probably develop though as it gets closer to SEQ.

i love thunderstorms. as well as hail storms. unfortunately in "The Hole" (The Gap) we miss most of the good storms. something to do with the moutains on all sides.
been a good start to the storm season lets hope it continues ;)

Only a couple of small patches of moderate rain hitting the somerset /wivenhoe catchment by the look of that. We just cant seem to get a decent downpour over the Jimna to Kilcoy region.

nothin in it boys, sorry to tell yas, butcompare that map to the one about 3-4 weeks ago when there was hail. thats just a bitta rain and lightning. i dont get too woried unless theres an intence cell, thats when i start to get the ses gear out. if its red-brown, ill even sit in my car and wait for the callout ;) dont pay much attention to the warnings until uve had a look at the actual radar. after the storms that wiped out brisbane the other year, the bureau has to put out warnings everytime theres a cloud in se qld as they were hammered about not warning brisbane soon enough. 75% of the time the storm warning is cancelled.
just some food for thought.
cheers

Unlucky Phil - I love living here in the Gap/Ashgrove area, you get to see all the lovely storms, lightning etc, but none of it slams down our roof or cars!
Like front row seats!
