the power went out just after that, only just back on. Storm got worse than that but move off fairly quick

Mate, that's why I live in the South East Corner of Queensland ;D ;D ;D we only get the odd sub tropical squall/storm

That storms nothing unusual for tassie is it ;D Especially down Smithton way.
Rains 360 days of the year and drips off the tree's the other 4days ;D ;D

The same storm came over Devonport, we never lost power though.
Poor old Smithton normaly cops the full force and then it loses a bit of strength as it travels along the coast.
Hey Phil, Blazes' area is the only place that I know of that you could make a tourist attraction called "Dismal Swamp", and expect people to enjoy it. ;D
Only joking Blaze I hear it is quiet good.
