I'm heading down to Melbourne for ten days in early December and most surprisingly it seems that the missus will allow me a couple of days off from Xmas shopping. This seems an ideal chance to get in a couple of days fishing. Ideally I'd like to have a go for snapper, flathead & whiting, etc.
Does anybody have a good charter outfit to reccomend or alternatively a guide?

here ya go Oz, #http://www.gonefishing.com.au/ #The skipper, John (Bwana) is a top bloke and probably the best saltwater fisho in Vic.
December should be great there, you could target anything from whiting right through to sharks. If you get into flyfishing at all John will send you home with some unbelievable memories. Don't leave it too long to book though.

P.S. tell him dasher sent ya, he'll look after you. ;)

Sorry to hear that. I am not sure at this stage if I am in Melb or I hope in Nelson Bay, NSW over Xmas and New Year but PM me if you have some spare time down here and I might be able to arrange a fishing trip if at home.

Mind you I hope the weather is going to better than this below. My place seems to be the only clear area but I would say not for very much longer. LOL
