Notice to Mariners:

Mariners are advised that the two "deep water access" public boat ramps located at Amity Point -
North Stradbroke Island, have been closed until a safety inspection can be undertaken. Warning
signs and barriers are to be established adjacent to the boat ramps.
Mariners should not attempt to use the two "deep water access" ramps until further notice. The
two adjacent "shallow water access" ramps and "barge ramp" remain in service.

Nugget,

Those who use the shallow water ramps that havent used before should use with caution as they go out a long way and are even at high tide very shallow.

I had trouble launching my 375 tinny there. It wanted to bottom out at the stern on the concrete.

if only we'd all paid our boat regos sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

christ, if its a safety thing they should have been closed years ago.

Weren't those ramps originally constructed by the locals who got jack of the authorities ignoring their requests for a government constructed thingo.

The answer IMO is a shiny new marina in the Wallum Pool with lots of jetskis ;)
