Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows how long Modern Fishing magazine has been around? #I get it all the time and I just saw some on ebay that are from the 1970's. #Does anyone know?


Also, I'm getting a new reel for my birthday. Whats better, Shimano or Daiwa?

ahh i would go for both can,t argee on the best ... cos they both are good stuff ....so it dep,s on what type of fishing you want to do .... that is only way to find out ...

i have the first print of modern fishing somewhere in home - think its about early 1960's black and white typwriter style printing and some real prehistoric tackle - interesting read though
