Heres a link to the history of the collapse of the Canadian Cod fishery in the 80's/90's.

This fishery had been sustainable for 400 years till big business and governments got involved.

Hopefully we can all learn from the mistakes of others. Doubt it though when there is big money involved.

Thanks Panda - good reading. Im sure that aussie commercial fisherman are doing the same thing and have done before - Australian Salmon comes to mind, Pilchards, Bream on the NSW Nth Coast etc etc.

Sad Sad fact of life and an old saying - That when there is nothing left you cant eat the money!!!
