Went offshore on Sunday 15th. of this month and lo and behold there is the big PATROL vessel B & F, hard aground on the banks on the eastern end of the Rous Channel. They had obviously spent the night there and what a bummer it must have been to be on display no more than a few metres off the channel for all and sundry to see. They had hit the banks on the run up to the reds going west. I mean, I have done more than my share of dredging and have a shiny prop to prove it but these are the guys who tell us what to do and how it should be done. Reckon they hit at a fair old speed as the entire length of the vessel was up on the sand. Saw them heading home offshore about 3.00 pm . betcha there were some red faces on that boat and some please explains!
