In a year when we all have read more and more posts about the Brisbane River/ Moreton Bay coming back to life, this news makes you realise how lucky we are....

Yeah this sucks.

And they've known about the dioxin leaks for how many years? At least since BEFORE the Sydney Olympics!

OMG. My heart goes out to the fishing families of Sydney Harbour.
This tradegy must affect a lot of people.

Stayed at Rhodes during the Olympics and it was a short walk down to the harbour. I saw signs saying no fishing due to contamination even then, same thing all the way to Homebush , so its not surprising that the contamination has spread.How long before the whole local food chain is affected?
Very Sad, also very sad is that the culprits probably just walked away .

you're right - Union Carbide are probably the main culprit and the're pretty good at walking away from problems of their making.
